WORLD ENGINEERING DAY CELEBRATION

The Nigerian Institute of Safety Engineers (NISE), under the distinguished leadership of Engr. Dr. Andrew Abanum, has announced plans to commemorate this year’s World Engineering Day with a National Webinar scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 4th March 2026 at 5:00 PM.
World Engineering Day is globally recognized as a platform to celebrate the immense contributions of engineers towards sustainable development, innovation, and national growth. In line with this international observance, NISE will bring together safety engineers, industry professionals, academics, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the country for a thought-provoking virtual engagement.

The National Webinar aims to:
1. Highlight the critical role of safety engineering in national development
2. Promote best practices and innovations within the engineering profession
3. Strengthen collaboration among engineering professionals
4. Reinforce commitment to global sustainability goals

Speaking ahead of the event, the National Chairman reaffirmed the Institute’s dedication to advancing safety engineering standards and fostering professional excellence nationwide.
